designed to meet the educational needs of psychiatrists in clinical practice.
Program Overview
In this course, attendees
will learn about several hot topics in psychiatric risk management. Specifically, we will cover ketamine
and other psychedelics, AI in psychiatric practice with a focus on AI scribes, and a review of the greater likelihood of facing
an administrative action than a lawsuit or claim. The final section will cover interesting risk management
questions recently asked of our risk managers.

After the conclusion of this program, learners will be able to:

between appropriate use of ketamine in clinical practice and legally risky uses.
- Review various states’
initiatives purporting to allow psychedelic treatment.
- Discuss risk management strategies to minimize
professional liability risk when utilizing AI in clinical practice.
- Explain licensing boards’
position on liability for mistakes made by AI.
- Compare psychiatrists’ risk of an administrative
action to the risk of a lawsuit or claim.
